Why Netflix's rating algorithm is terrible.

The BBFC partnered with Netflix a while ago to rate content. Initially, all content was human-rated. But later on, Netflix had introduced a rating algorithm to rate the massive amount of content it churns out, and it has done a terrible job. Here are some of the worst:

Minion Scouts

Despicable Me was never one of my favourite franchises, but it makes boatloads of money from families and is very inoffensive, a clear-cut U, right?

You'd be wrong. The short Minion Scouts, orignally included on the Blu-ray of The Secret Life of Pets 2, was rated U by the BBFC. When rated by Netflix on the Minions & More, Vol. 1 compilation movie, however, it got a 12 rating for "drug misuse".

The "offending" scene in question involves three Minions eating poisonous berries and getting absolute whacked. The 12 rating for this is ridiculous, as the Minions are clearly fantastical creatures and
